london electronic music news:
New EP on the way
August 3rd 2009
Blimey, has it really been six months since I posted anything here? Disgraceful I tell you - to be honest the music has taken a bit of a back seat, as I started a new job in October and have also been indulging my photography obsession. However, I'm back on it now, oh yes.
I've recorded four new tracks that may well make it onto an EP in the near future, or I may do what I normally do and record another ten, then decide the original four were good enough in the first place. Hmmm...
As always, I'll keep you posted, promise. Until then, you can listen to Noise In The Shadows (working title) on MySpace.
Kodachrome / Radio Play
August 3rd 2009
Not only have I finished a new track, I've also been gaining some radio play of late.
The track is called “Kodachrome” and you can hear it exclusively on MySpace. My tunes have also been played on The Fox's Den Radio Show, so a massive thanks to those guys too.
We Are All Survival Machines finally released!
May 31st 2009
Lo and behold, the day has finally arrived - the new album is available to download from all your favourite digital retailers.
Here's that list in full:
- Amazon - seems as though Amazon are running a special offer on all newly released albums, so snap it up here while it's still “cheap” (fiscally, not quality-wise, I hasten to add).
- iTunes UK Store - it's also available in the US, Australia, Japan and Canada stores apparently. Well I never.
- Rhapsody - I've never purchased anything from Rhapsody in my life, so if you do purchase from here, let me know what they're like, won't you?
- eMusic - eMusic are selling it too, don't you know. What lovely people, bless.
- Napster - ah, Napster. I remember the days when I used to spend hours sitting in front of my PC downloading albums illegally. Erm...
If you do buy the album (and thanks a lot if you have / are intending to), then let me know what you think.
WAASM out soon
April 14th 2009
Just to let you know that the album will be released in the next couple of months. I don't have a definite date as yet, but it's definitely on it's way. I'm currently uploading the tracks to Tunecore who'll be placing it on iTunes / Napster etc for me, although each track / .wav is over 50mb in size, which means uploading has been a tad on the ponderous side!
Here's the full tracklisting anyway, for those who are bothered:
- Yesterday+Today=Tomorrow
- End Of The Beginning
- Dusk
- Oblique
- We Are All Survival Machines
- On The Good Earth
- The Drifter
- Americana
- Lament
- Dragonfly
- What Goes Before You Will Not Go By You
Two of the tracks also appeared on the “Home” EP released a couple of years ago, namely End Of The Beginning and Dragonfly, but have been rerecorded, remixed and remastered. You can still buy the Home EP from iTunes if you so desire.
new website launched!
April 14th 2009
I've finally managed to get my backside in gear and sort out a redesign - thought it was about time, especially as I'm about to release a new album. It's called, “We Are All Survival Machines” and will be out in the next month or two.
There may still be a few glitches as I've been in a bit of a rush to get it finished, but it'll all be cleaned up in the next week or so.
Until that point, feel free to entertain yourself with the mp3 player above, which will contain three tracks from the album and changed regularly.
